Video Transcript
In this video, we will be going through the steps to create new user groups, also known as private stores.
First, simply go on the administration panel, hover over the users tab, and click on user groups.
Next, click on add group to start creating a new user group.
Start by choosing a group name.
Here I will simply choose test group as an example.
Next are all the appearance options.
You're able to choose to use the printshop theme for the shop, which you will need to do if you wish to use a logo.
Keep in mind that you may also need to switch your main theme to printshop, which you can do under appearance and themes, in order to enable the appearance of the logo and then switch back to whatever theme you were using before.
Scrolling further down, we are met with the categories and product options.
Choose whichever categories or products you would like to display for the users in this new group.
Here I will choose the business cards category, which contains both the business cards and glossy business cards products.
You need to choose both the category and the products within it.
In addition, I will also choose the books product.
Next is the payment method, shipping options, and tax rate.
Followed by the landing pages after login and logout.
These are the pages that will load once the user logs in or logs out.
Furthermore, instead of manually adding users, you're able to auto-register users based on email domain names.
Finally, perhaps the most important section is the group users section.
Here you're able to choose individual users to be included in the group.
To save these options and create the group, click submit at the bottom of the page.
The group you just created will now appear under user groups.
Now head over to your site and observe the changes.
