A detailed guide for admin users to create, configure, and send professional price quotes to customers using WooCommerce, allowing them to convert quotes directly into orders.
Video Transcript
In this video, we'll be taking a look at the price quote function.
This is an admin side feature that allows the admin users to send a price quote to a customer.
The customer then receives an email.
The email contains a link back to the site that allows the customer to complete the checkout process and convert the quote into an order.
Let's go through the simple process of creating a price quote.
On the administration panel, navigate over to WooCommerce, followed by 'Send Quote'.
You'll be prompted with a 'Send Quote' window.
The first step is to select both a sender and a customer.
If the wanted user is not yet created in the system, you can simply click the 'Create new user account' to create a new user.
It will then be added to the dropdown menu.
Clicking 'Continue' will send you to the next step, which is to select the product that you want to be included in the quote.
Each time a product is added, you will be directed to that product's attributes configuration page where you simply need to configure the attributes as shown here.
The price will automatically update depending on the chosen attributes and you also have the option to upload an artwork file if needed.
Notice the buttons beside the newly added products.
There are three buttons: one for editing the product's attributes, one for duplicating the product, and one to delete the product from the quote.
Click 'Continue' once again to move on to the quote confirmation page where you're given the possibility to double-check the values and edit the email body.
