Pdflib Block Plugin Installation On Windows Tutorial & Guide

In this video, we will go over the installation of the PDFlib block plugin for Adobe Acrobat versions 8, 9, 10, 11 or DC on Windows.

First, we will need to download the PDFlib block plugin.

To do so, head over to the PDFlib site, which is pdflib.com.

Next, click on downloads on the left, followed by PDFlib family, and finally, block plugin.

Here you are able to download the plugin for your Adobe Acrobat version.

I have Adobe DC, so I will download this one.

The file downloaded is an installer.

This means that the installation will be automatic and you just have to double-click the file and follow the steps that are listed.

The installation will simply copy a folder to another folder called plugins in Acrobat.

This folder is called the PDFlib block plugin and contains both the Block.api and AcroformConversion.api files.

Sometimes the installation will fail because the plugins folder cannot be found.

This probably means that it either doesn't exist or is in another location than usual.

To find the plugins folder, go to Program Files or Program Files (x86) in your local drive.

Then Adobe, Acrobat DC, or whatever version you have, Acrobat, and finally, plugins, as you can see here.

If the plugins folder does not exist, we will have to create it ourselves.

Simply right-click and choose New Folder.

Name it exactly plug_ins.

After that, retry the installation and everything should be in order.

The installation is now done.

To check that this has worked, close Adobe Acrobat if it is open and reopen it again.

If at the top there is a PDFlib Blocks menu, then the installation has worked and you're now able to use the plugin.
