Video Transcript
In this video, we're going to see how to configure Amazon Web Services with a policy and a user to support the uploads from wp2print.
In this help page, you will see what's called a policy text.
Simply copy the text, we will use it later on.
Switch over to the Amazon Web Services interface and click on IAM.
The first thing we're going to do once we're in this area is click on Policies, then Create Policy.
Click on JSON here and remove the existing policy in order to paste the policy we just copied.
Make sure to replace the bucket name here with your own bucket name.
Click on Review Policy.
Here, you're able to give the policy a name.
It really doesn't matter what the name is.
I will simply use 'mysite-policy' with some unique numbers.
And now, we've created a policy.
Once the policy exists, we're going to go to Users and create a new user.
Again, you can pick whatever username you would like.
I will choose the name 'mysite-user' with some unique numbers.
Now the system is giving us an opportunity to attach the policy to the new user account that we've just created.
Click here on 'Attach existing policies.' You are then able to choose a policy.
We will select our own policy by simply searching it up on the search bar and clicking on the small box.
Scroll down and click on Next in order to finish creating the user.
The system will create a new user.
The last step is to generate the access keys.
Click on the user we've just created.
Navigate to Security Credentials and click on Create Access Key.
The access key usage that fits our case is the 'Application running outside AWS' option.
Click on Next and then generate the access keys.
The access keys are now created.
We will use them in the next video, so make sure to copy them.
