Video Transcript
In this video, we're going to look at creating and configuring a bucket within the Amazon Web Services.
This includes editing the bucket and adding permissions to it.
First, you're going to want to click on S3: Scalable Storage in the Cloud.
A new page appears and we're going to click on 'Create Bucket'.
We're going to give it a name, so in this video, we're just going to call it 'printscience-uploads'.
And then you'd select the region that's closest to you, so if you're in Brazil you choose Sao Paulo or if you're in Dublin, choose Ireland.
And then click on 'Create'.
Now we have different tabs that appear.
Our next step is to edit the permissions, and we have a drop-down menu that appears.
Now click 'Add more permissions' and select 'Any Authenticated AWS User' and check all these different permission boxes.
Then click 'Save'.
Now you're going to want to find the sample text that we have above this video and copy it, then paste it into any text editor.
Now you want to put in your bucket name, so just like before we're going to put 'printscience-uploads' and then copy your new text.
Now go back and click 'Add bucket policy' and paste it, paste your text into that editor.
