Video Transcript

In this video, we're going to see how to create an Amazon S3 bucket and prepare it for use with wp2print.

The first step is to copy this XML code found on the help page.

We will paste it later.

Then, we're going to move over to the Amazon AWS interface, click on S3, then simply create a new bucket.

We're then able to give any name we would like to the bucket.

I will simply call it 'mysiteuploadsbucket'.

After we've given the name, it's worthwhile to copy the name in order to use it later.

Next, you're able to select the region for the bucket.

My advice is simply to choose the region that is closest to you.

Here, I'm going to choose the US Ohio region.

It really doesn't matter which region you choose.

Keep clicking on the next buttons until you're able to create your bucket.

We will then be able to see the new bucket that we have created.

If we click on the bucket, we're given several options to make modifications to the bucket settings.

Navigate to permissions, then CORS configuration.

This is the current default CORS configuration policy.

We're going to delete all of it and paste in the XML code that we copied earlier.

Once the code is pasted, simply click save and essentially the bucket configuration is complete.

The last step now is to open up any text editor you would like and create a little file with some data about the bucket, such as the name and location.

I will also add a section for the access key and the secret key, which we will go over on how to obtain those in the next video.
