Configure Product Designer Server Tutorial & Guide

This video will illustrate uploading and configuring a template on the Designer Server.

We've already prepared the template file by inserting PDFlib blocks using Adobe Acrobat Pro.

So, the first step is to click 'Add Product.' Enter the product's name and description and click 'Save.' Once a new product is created, we can add one or more templates to the product.

When you select the file prepared with Acrobat Pro, the Designer Server automatically reads the file and discovers the amount of pages and PDFlib blocks.

The server will then display a list of the PDFlib blocks embedded in each page.

For each block, you can fine-tune the controls and options your customers will see.

Here, you can control whether or not your customers will see certain buttons in the user interface.

Here, you can control whether your customer can change the font face, size, and color.

And here, we see the default font face, size, and color configured with Acrobat.

You can override these default values and give your customers more choices.

Here, you can customize the help text customers will see in the user interface.

You can configure the default text that will appear in each language block individually.

At the product level, you can add a 'View PDF' button that allows your customers to download a PDF.

Once the product is fully configured on the Designer Server, you'll see its product ID listed, and you'll want to note this in order to configure it in your shopping cart.

Then, click the 'Test' link to see how the product will appear to your customers.

This is the new default text we've configured.

Here, you see the controls we've enabled for this block, the help text we've configured, and here is the 'View PDF' button we added.
